BET Awards 2022 Winners List: The BET Awards will be back for the 2022 edition including Taraji P. Henson hosting Culture’s biggest Night, for the second time in two years. The show is broadcast live on BET Sunday evening at 8 p.m. ET/PT, from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.
Doja Cat is the leader in the field of BET nominations, with six nominations, leading the music categories with nominations for best album, top female R&B/pop artist, female hip hop artist, and video of the year best collaboration, as well as winning the BET Award for Her. Drake along with Ari Lennox follow suit with four nominations each.
The stars of the event include Lil Wayne, Lizzo, Jack Harlow, Roddy Ricch, Babyface, Chance the Rapper, Chloe, Doechii, Ella Mai, Fireboy DML, Giveon, Joey Bada$$, Maverick City Music x Kirk Franklin, Latto and Muni Long.
The 2022 nominees are chosen by the BET Voting Academy, which comprises entertainment professionals in film, music, television sports journalism, digital marketing, and public relations, influencers, and the creative arts.

What is the BET award 2022?
BET Awards BET Awards are American awards show created on the 1st of January, 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network in order to recognize African Americans in performing arts, sports, as well as other entertainment fields in the last year. These awards, given every year, air live by BET.
The ceremony that is presented annually features the performances of artists. Some of the awards that are of more than just a few people’s interest are awarded in a live ceremony.
What is the Nomination process for BET awards?
The Award Trophy, inspired by three words – aspire, ascend, achieve, was designed by artist/sculptor Carlos “Mare139” Rodriguez. Outkast won the first award trophy during the first ceremony in 2001.
It was in 2007, Society Awards The Society Awards, which is the New York firm that manufactures the award, boosting the standard of the trophy design by using the use of black crystal and plated steel.
Nominations are managed by a voting academy comprised of around 500 individuals from the media, music industry bloggers, and media. BET distributes ballots electronically, and the voters choose worthy artists and work in every category they believe should be considered for nomination.
Voting and nomination ballots are collected with the help of Yangaroo, Inc. a renowned digital distribution company that is involved in a variety of other awards ceremonies, including the BET’s other sister channels under their parent organization Paramount Global. The top contenders are selected by each category, and winners are chosen through the academy members’ vote procedure.
